Wonderful food. Family environment!! Southern comfort home food.
Good food. Great value. Nice people.
This was best BBQ sammich yet! We are freight haulers & are always looking for small Mom & Pop places to support. Really tasty BBQ with sauce not overpowering & enough burnt & crunchy to make you keep eating and eating! The fries were seasoned and good too. Waitress very friendly, makes you feel right at home.
MoreHome cooked food!
Great experience. Super friendly staff, makes you feel like family. Food was ready in a blink,. And tated great!
MoreThis place is soooo good. I am super glad I now know it is here. I will definitely return. I had the fried catfish, slaw, and fries. Deelish!
MoreThe bbq plate was awesome and I felt so far afterwards
Wow. Such great, homemade food. Best Onion rings and club sandwich I've ever had. No joke. Very good value and seriously the most friendly waitress I've ever met. Then again, were from Connecticut and not used to Southern hospitality.
MoreThe potato salad was very food, the macaroni and cheese did not taste very good, the brisket was ok nothing special.
MoreNice example of a small family run diner with comfort food. Good BBQ sandwich.
I had been looking for a great mom and pop country diner for quite some time so when we stumbled across Sweet Lips I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the hospitality even better. I would highly recommend visiting this place.
MoreSweet Lips Diner is a true family establishment and definitely worth a stop if you're driving through. The staff is helpful and friendly. Don't let the outside fool you when you pull up. The food is solid as well. My wife's burger was juicy and delicious and my BBQ sandwich was stellar. A lot of solid smokey flavor that I honestly wasn't expecting. Prices are right too.
MoreAmazing Country Cooking and reasonably priced
Great home style cooking. I've never had a bad meal here. The service is always great and with a smile
MoreGreat service and great food!
This place is so awesome!!!! Home cooked food... Great service.... The people here are amazing!!! You gotta stop in and check it out!!!!!!
MoreThe cobbler and fried green tomatoes are the best!
Great little place to eat. Even my son liked it and he doesn't like anything. We will definitely return.
MoreThey have good country food and barbecue. I had the best club sandwich I ever had. My wife had salmon patties, mashed potatoes with gravy, pinto bean with cornbread. She liked it very much. Service was excellent. They said that they can deliver food to the truckers that pull off at this exit. Their parking lot is not big enough for big rigs.
MoreRinky-dink diner. Owner was sweet but food was not. Maybe it's because I'm from PA, but the BBQ pork was atrocious. There was almost no sauce and what little there was had no sweetness to it like I'd expect with BBQ pulled pork. Plus it wasn't pulled pork - it looked like sliced lunch meat with a little sauce. The coleslaw is completely mundane and the beans had absolutely no flavor to them... except for bean-flavor. In short, the whole experience tasted like it was canned food. Whoever said they are a cook and this was good food - please tell me where your restaurant is so I know never to visit it. Thanks.
MoreVery sweet and delicious and pleasent people
Just OK. Meatloaf was tasty but very skimpy on ketchup topping, which is why I love meatloaf. My mom spoiled me, she made ketchup gravy! Anyway, they didn't even bother to make fresh mashed potatoes, they were instant. Overall, a below average experience.
MoreGood food, prices and service. No complaints.
The food was fresh and large portions. It was delicious come out and try it you won’t be disappointed. Price was fair as well!!!!
MoreGet off the highway, go inside, and enjoy some of the best diner bbq you will ever have.
MoreGreat food. Nice and friendly people. Loved it.
True Americana roadside diner. I wish I could give more stars. I just had soup beans, slaw and okra. Beans were perfect, slaw was just right and it is hard for me to find good slaw. Even the lightly breaded okra was great. We drive about 60 miles to eat here. And, my lady said her burger was wonderful.
MoreNothing to write home about. The chips were freshly fried so they were fun to eat warm but the bbq pork was just ok. The sauce was not wowing and the pork itself seemed like lunch meat. Based on the reviews we thought this place would be a diamond in the rough but it just was not.
MoreExcellent food, great service, and good prices. Can't ask for more.
They have amazing food. Their steak and cheese sandwich is amazing. My favorite food is the catfish though!!!! Their staff is super friendly and treat you like family! It's family owned and ran!
MoreThey have the Best Chicken N Dumplings I have Ever Had! Our food was great and the service was excellent!!! Sweetest People!!❤
MoreGreat little restaurant right off of the highway. Very homey feeling and the server was very polite. Food arrived fast and was hot. Highly recommend their French fries.
MoreGet off the interstate and enjoy some home-made bbq and pie!!Exit 30 on I-81 near Greenville, TN.SWEET PLACE!! Great food and friendly service.
MoreWas a sweet little diner. Good food, friendly staff. Would definitely eat there again.
MoreThe food is always delicious and all the employees make you feel like family.
I stopped here and the diner was great. I asked the server what she would recommend and she suggested the barbeque sandwich. It was very meaty and larger pieces of pork was in it. The fries seem to have been diner cut. Very tasty and friendly people. I highly recommend this diner when travels take you to Tennessee interstate 81.
MoreGreat place! Great food! Wonderful homemade desserts! The selection for both in such a small place is surprising. Don't let the outside fool you. Able to seat and serve our group of 13-no problem!
MoreExcellent comfort food. Traveling and wanted to stop somewhere a little different. Great service.
MoreGood food, nice staff and quaint little place. I had the bacon cheese burger and it was awesome. It's right off the interstate but you need to look for it. Definitely a place I will reccomend and revisit myself.
MoreThe food was great! I'm a cook, so I know good cooking. I like my cooking, & do not care to go out much at all, so for me to say great, then it is great. My husband had the beef tips with gravy. Yum Yum! I had the pinto beans with onions, deviled eggs, cornbread, & cheddar rounds. Very tasty! The staff was cheerful, & it had a down-home country feeling. We will be back with friends.
MoreGreat food, sweet people, and homey atmosphere. The batbeque had a great smokey flavor. My husband's catfish was crisp and tasty. He told the owner he loved her when he tasted the pinto beans and cornbread. She giggled and told me she was sorry. The kids enjoyed their burger and grilled cheses. The blackberry cobbler was served warm with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. Heavenly! The strawberry angel shortcake also had ice cream and a huge dollop of whipped cream. We were miserable afterwards, but only because it was so good that we didn't want to leave any behind. This will be one of our go to places when traveling from NW Georgia to West Virginia.
MoreAmericana diner at its best. I had the grilled catfish which was delightfully seasoned. It came with a choice of two sides. I chose lima beans and fried okra. The diner is less than 0.3 miles from I-81.
MoreGreat food. Really nice owners. Friendly and accommodating. Our baby got special treatment and yummy food samples.
MoreFabulous BBQ! True southern cooking. We stop once a year as we travel down route 81 to visit family. A local favorite, everyone seems to know everyone.
MoreGreat food! Awesome service!
Outstanding food and service. My wife and I stopped here fur lunch on our cross country drive, and were treated some of the best hospitality we've had in years. When we pulled up to the restaurant we were checked on some pork we had in a cooler that we are bringing with us to Arizona. The restaurant staff, and some locals all came over to offer is advice on the best ways to keep it cold, and even offered us ice from the kitchen. It was the honest kind of kindness I had forgotten existed. And the pulled pork was amazing as well...
MoreStopped here while passing through the area. The woman running the place was friendly and the food was great! Nice fresh tomato and crisp lettuce on the BLT, tasty BBQ pork sandwich, crispy fries.
MoreExcellent country home made food. A family run business. Don't let tje outside fool you. You'll love it!
MoreFamily owned, home cooking. Everything was really good. I had chicken and dumplings and fried okra that were both great, and my husband had fried catfish that looked so good, and his cole slaw was delicious and I am not usually big on cole slaw. He loved the fish and the fries. Lots of desserts - we split chocolate cobbler and it was good. It is definitely a "hole in the wall" small diner that doesn't look like much, but the food is great!
MoreThe menu looked good but we couldn't eat much there since nobody was inside when we stopped by. Walked around for a few minutes inside and thought about not only having home cooked food but preparing ourselves in their kitchen but we went to a Mexican restaurant a few minutes away instead. It was an interesting visit.
